God has always desired for humanity to encounter Him. He has revealed Himself through creation, the written word, and the Living Word (Christ). The Scriptures then are the inspired Word of God, given to us that we might have an encounter with Him and know His voice in our lives. the Bible is the story of God (not us) and in it we see the unfolding nature of God, ultimately pointing to Christ through whom we encounter God and experience His grace in our lives.
