This one’s for the dads. Longtime DFW radio man and dad of three Ben Rogers joins the show this week to reflect back on fatherhood as his oldest prepares for college. Are we all working too much and missing out on the good stuff? Ben opens up about what he would do differently as a dad if given the chance. Plus, Emily’s celebrating the end of little league for both her kids and has to vent - have parents completely lost their mind when it comes to youth sports? (Yes, the answer is yes.) 

It’s Julie’s 29th Birthday and we welcomed in her childhood best friend Jessie to the show! The mechanical engineer and mom of three gave up her quickly ascending career as a business consultant to stay home and raise babies, but she’s managed to put her degree to good use as a “mom with a drill,” building everything under the sun for their home. Her skills will inspire you to get out a hammer! Plus- she shared some of Julie’s deep dark secrets! Also- where do we stand on all this Caitlin Clark hubbub?  Lastly, we eulogize the Stars season and look ahead to the NBA Finals with our favorite new dad Luka and the Mavs!!! 

Half of Dallas has been without power this week after major storms and Julie has been among those displaced. Plus the Mavs and Stars are playing into JUNE, and why are Joey Gallo and Raiders Owner Mark Davis in tabloid headlines together? 

We’ve almost MAYde it!! School is out for the summer but luckily our evenings are planned for a while as the Mavs and Stars begin the Western Conference Finals.  Emily’s studying flight paths, Julie’s getting forced into pinky promises and awkward doctor conversations, and we introduce a SALTY hat and possible new segment?! 

Julie and Emily are in studio with some Sauv Blanc this week riding the wave that is the end of the school year. Emily’s Mother’s Day gift has them both crying, and it’s still playoff SZN in Dallas! 

Julie details her emotional and hilarious first pitch night at the ballpark which leads into a great discussion about the importance of mentality in sports for pros, moms, and kids alike. Plus, what would the Chiefs kicker think of our jobs? And what does Tay Tay think of all this? 🤔

Let’s hear it for the unemployed girlies! Julie’s trying to figure out life and attempting to be Betty Crocker mom while Emily’s fresh off a retreat weekend and appreciating all the teachers for teacher appreciation week. DFW is buzzing with the Stars and Mavs in the second round of the playoffs, and the Rangers cruising along as well.  Plus, we are excited to introduce our new partnership with the North Texas Food Bank!
