S.4 E.21 Our Triune God
Although the doctrine of the Trinity is hard to understand,
it has a significant impact on the rest of what we believe. This episode
explores the truth that God is One in Three, and how this is presented from the
very opening of the Bible. I also share some resources that explain how this
doctrine affects our lives and faith.

S.4 E.20 Our Purposeful God
God’s purposefulness is slightly different than
intentionality. His purpose refers to the goal, the plan that He is carrying
out. This attribute of God is clearly seen in salvation, and it calls us to
trust Him. Even when we don’t understand our circumstances, we can trust God
has a purpose for what He does and wht He allows. -
S.4 E.19 Our Orderly God
The orderliness of God is another one of His attributes
presented consistently across Scripture. The sun and moon are repeatedly held
up as examples of this, and they also provide assurance of God’s promise to
Israel. His orderliness is a pattern for our own lives, both as individuals and
as local churches. -
S.4 E.18 Our Consistent God
God acts in a steady way because He Himself is consistent.
The foundation of this attribute of God is laid in the pattern of creation and
is fully revealed through the rest of Scripture. This aspect of God’s character
gives us great assurance of salvation and confidence that He will never change. -
S.4 E.17 Our Intentional God
In all that God does, He is intentional. Looking at the
pattern of creation displays this truth, and the rest of the Bible gives
further testimony to this attribute of God. Ultimately, even the gospel itself
points to the intentionality of the Lord. We can rest knowing that God is in
control; He is intentional with everything He does or allows into our lives. -
S.4 E.16 Our Authoritative God
From the first recorded words of God, the Bible presents the
Lord as authoritative. He has authority to command, evaluate, and name. I
explore how this attribute of God is evident in the creation account as well as
in the rest of Scripture. I conclude by sharing some elements of our response
to this truth about God.
