Statistics Canada reports the annual rate of inflation ticked up unexpectedly. Prices rose by 2.9 per cent in May… and that just may force the Bank of Canada to rethink interest rate cuts. Plus: Kenya’s capital Nairobi is in chaos. Thousands of protesters have stormed parliament and set fire to parts of it during widespread public backlash against tax increases.
