The season of long suffering is ending and the nation of Israel (the summer fruits) is ripe for judgement. 

Point: Sometimes it is through the trials and judgements that our eyes are refocused solely upon God. May we not be a people in famine of God's Word.

Isaiah 53:1–11 & John 1:9–13

Jesus was rejected by men so we could be accepted by God. We can walk in the light of new life and become children of God.

John 1:1–5

Before the creation of the world, the Father’s good plan for rescuing his children was to send Jesus to earth. We can be victorious over our own darkness by receiving Jesus as the Word of God for ourselves.
