Peace & Blessings to ALL! I present to you a musical interpretation celebrating Black History Month. Since last year during the world spread of the pandemic we have bared witness to the marginalization and degradation of the poor, which has been amplified by the virus. Police brutality continues to operate unchecked and both Black & Brown lives continue to be murdered unarmed. The United States leads the world in human rights violations and remains to this day the highest incarceration rate of Black & Brown people in the world.

This musical journey begins with spoken word artist Amanda Gorman with her incredible inauguration speech "The Hill We Climb". Listen to the soulful voices blare "Let The Sunshine In" we are incapsulated by the stories told of the Black diaspora, infused by the songs of often pain and liberation. The 2nd hour I present Black music in this body of work also known as House Music, bringing the journey to a climatic dance of freedom and spiritual insurrection.

This episode is a manifestation of musical sounds and colors that give hope and aspirations for a new year, new sounds and ultimately "New Beginnings". As we continue to survive in these times, I find that music has become even more so of a healing source in our everyday lives. By meditating and connecting to our inner-selves, we are bound together through the colors of sound and the spirituality of the human condition. Soulfrica is that musical healing that takes you away from the everyday whoas that life can bring us in the physical world.

He has been DJing since 1987 and Bruno has made his way from college radio all the way to his 1st residency at the Boston Loft alongside Armand Van Helden. Eventually he would be responsible for starting the legendary "Utopia Parties", which remains Boston's hottest Deep House Music events since 1992.

But somehow, Someway or another, the music continues to unify our universe from all walks of life, getting through these unprecedented times! It's been exactly a year since Hakeem and I have united and this mix is well worth the wait.

Although we are distant, we play like we are right next to each other, back 2 back. The mix is lush in the 1st hour as Hakeem brings his signature style that is unmistakably Soulful to the core. Please give warm welcome to my special guest who is a NYC House Music legend and veteran Louie Balo. Born & raised in New England, Connecticut, Louie would learn early on, that he was destined to have a career in music. From his Columbian roots, his passion and cultural upbringing would propel him to attend music school and learn his craft.

Louie has been involved in numerous productions which included running one of the industries hottest labels "Eight Ball Records". His discography is extensive, writing, arranging and remixing.
