Pastor Brian gives four ways we can fight for hope when we experience hardship. He emphasized the importance of living out this attitude of hope in order to help us maintain the gain and not fall into helplessness, negativity, and giving up.

We will experience trials, but God wants to help us move from hardship to the finish line. The key to advancing forward is understanding God's purpose in how far we have come, and this serves as a reminder of the progress we have made.

We are chosen and loved by God, and because of the sacrifice of Jesus death on the cross we can live a holy life. One powerful way to maintain the gain in your walk with the Lord is to recognize that you have been set apart. It affects the way we treat ourselves and others, what motivates us and how we respond.

If we aren't moving forward, we're moving backward! In week three of our series, we learned that no matter how far we've come, no matter how great we are doing, God still has more for us if we lean into constantly growing in Him. Having a strong spiritual passion, a pure Christian lifestyle, and being connected within our church community are just a few of the ways Pastor Brian mentioned in this message of how we can continue our growth!

In week 1 of our Maintain the Gain series, Pastor Brian talked about how experiences in our lives have an impact both on how we see the world today, and how we handle situations that come our way. Similarly, when we are truly wrecked by the good news of the Gospel, we are compelled to living a life of serving others for the Lord. And when we celebrate that kind of living, we will accelerate it!
