This is a roundtable discussion about polybius and his writings. On how he influenced Montesquieu a famous french political philosopher. Montesquieu took Polybius's ideas and put a renaissance spin on it. The founding fathers picked up Polybius's ideas from Montesquieu. These were the ideals the United States was founded on. Separation of power, checks and balances, and multiple types of government together all came from Polybius and now exist in the present USA.
