Shango, the drumstick master who became a high voltage DJ. Born in Tlaxcala, raised in Puebla, Mexico. His music journey began in his early years in the 90s with progressive rock, country and the first sparks from disco to house. In 2008 explored genres from metal and experimental rock to funk and jazz.

It was until 2016 with 4 years studying music production and exploring from electronic music to Techno and all in between, he consolidated as a DJ and founded Xibalba Collective.

From the calming and warm vibes from organic house the deepness within downtempo, the ritualistic african rhythms, through the characteristic bionic sounds from indie dance and dancing bass lines.

The dream of being a druid since his childhood, the ancient spirit in his blood, the moody soul and the sensitivity to capture exquisite and glittering melodies, lead Xia Ke to the ethnic, organic and spiritual paradise.

You may find ice and fire exist simultaneously, glowing light and hope fading in through darkness and sadness, or occasional thorns out of tranquility in both his tracks and sets. It shows his belief in the balance of the universe.

He has released productions on labels like Cafe de Anatolia, Cosmovision, Kosa, Shango and so on. At the end of 2023, he moved to Shanghai and started to get the chance to support accomplished artists such as Franca, MAGA, Sparrow & Barbossa, and many more.

Since then, his love for music has flourished, leading him to begin mixing and producing music from various artists upon relocating to Marburg. He particularly focuses on genres like techno, house, psytech, downtempo, and midtempo.

RAAFAT has already graced the stages of renowned clubs and festivals in Holland and Germany, including venues like Weelde Rotterdam, Levantine House with The Garden of Babylon, and Kabinett der Kuriositäten in Frankfurt. Additionally, he has released several works on esteemed labels such as The Garden of Babylon, Katahaifisch, Planet Ibiza, and Cosmovision Records, as well as his own tracks.

His distinctive sound, characterized by luminous synthesizers and profound melodies, evokes deep emotions on the dancefloor.

This episode by RAAFAT reflects his current emotions, creating an atmosphere that offers an escape from worldly events while simultaneously inviting relaxation or dancing.
