Dr. Jas Kalra, MCIPS is an Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management at Newcastle University Business School and an Honorary (Assistant) Professor in Supply Chain Management at UCL. Prior to this, Dr. Kalra worked as a Senior Supply Chain Researcher at University College London, University of Bath, and Alliance Manchester Business School, the University of Manchester. His research interests are at the nexus of procurement, complex projects, and professional services. Specifically, his research focuses on how organisations set up and orchestrate inter-organisational networks to create, access, and operationalise assets, resources, and capabilities without owning them. Dr. Kalra’s research has been published in leading international academic outlets such as Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Production Planning & Control, and Oxford Handbook of Supply Chain Management. He also writes for the practitioner audience in the Conversation, Retail Gazette, and APM’s Project Journal, and has been invited to present his views in the media by Al Jazeera, Australian Broadcasting Network, a
