Stop Waiting for a "Conscious Man" to Open You

Stop Waiting for a "Conscious Man" to Open You

*Episode 329* : If you're on a self-aware and overt path of energy and relationship work, it can be both a challenge to grow if your partner isn't a "conscious man" on the same path, hasn't read the same books, attended the same workshops, and cultivated the same awareness of intimacy dynamics. However, there's also a great opportunity there, since if both partners are doing the same work very consciously, it can lead to a stilted sense of rigidity and overwhelming self-consciousness. It's okay if you carry these ideas more consciously than your partner!

In this episode Madelyn explores this concept, covers the trouble spots as well as the benefits, and how to align your sensibilities to enhance your intimacy and stop waiting for the perfect conscious man.

    *Show Notes* :

    * This episode's topic is "withholding."
    * For an introduction to the topic, see Madelyn's Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ32l27nOF8/
    * There's a misconception that both partners must have the knowledge of spirituality/sexuality in order for the couple to work in that sphere.
    * Book: Blue Truth by David Deida: https://amzn.to/2XzltnK
    * It only takes one person to be conscious and understanding of things like "eye contact during sex deepens intimacy."
    * It's important to break the barrier of fear of looking or feeling stupid in order to evoke your spiritual intimacy and sexuality together.
    * Intimacy with someone who is aware of these dynamics is different than intimacy with someone who is not.
    * Both partners being very aware of this can make the process feel too predefined and static, or transform it into a performance.
    * On the other hand, it can be a challenge if you or your partner is not aware.
    * Taboos are the way that we sexualize our shame, which can be very positive.
    * It's showing you a place that deeply desires to be nourished and loved.
    * If your partner is not aware of the work, those darker places might challenge their identity.
    * If you are waiting for someone to check off all of these boxes, you are withholding, and you're the one suffering.
    * The deeper you go into your own practice, the more you will evoke it in your partner.
    * This process can open you up to falling in love with more and more different "types" of people.

    Instagram Cleansing

    Instagram Cleansing

*Episode 328:* We are all creators - whether we're creating a podcast, a beautiful meal, music, a drawing, or our living spaces. The pressures of content creation and consumption on social media can leave us feeling disconnected with the pure joy of creation and enjoying content. At the end of 2020, Madelyn took a step back from social media and content creation and did a bit of Instagram cleansing, which then led to a reevaluation of her own time and energy, and a break from the podcast as well.

In this episode Madelyn discusses this break, how to use the stresses of 2020 as an opportunity for change in 2021, rapture, and the joy of naps.

    *Show Notes:*

    * Madelyn was light on podcasts in December.
    * This stressful time is not so much like "being put through the wringer" as "being put through the portal."
    * Break started with Instagram break in November - deleted from phone, installed to make a post and taken off
    * Madelyn was struggling with the constant pressure of social media - "Instagram hamster wheel."
    * There's a difference between being a "creator" and having to "create content."
    * When the creations are used to make a living, they become something different.
    * Madelyn had lost sight of the actual spirit of creation in the pressure create content.
    * Every creation comes with a to-do list.
    * Part of our evolution as a society is also reflective of changes like this, moving to what's important.
    * She's been cocooning since moving, creating her new space.
    * Madelyn's word for the year: Rapture
    * Madelyn wrote a book during this time, in addition to the novel she's been working on.
    * Social media can be like an infant that needs constant care - even just the stress of keeping up and commenting that takes your focus away from the joy of creating for creation's sake.
    * Look to how you can bring in more help for yourself this year.
    * One spot for one-on-one coaching is opening up in January!

You can watch her TEDx on reclaiming the feminine and masculine within each human as well as read her blog and more at www.sarahpoet.com.

    Show Notes:
    - There is a wound carried in all feminine creatures - The Female Provision Wound.
    - Sarah took her name ("claimed the name of her soul") by engaging a self-baptism activity at a retreat.
    - The significance of names was discussed in Episode 273 with Gahl Sasson - maddymoon.com/gahl-sasson/
    - Sarah was raised in a small-town religious context.

    - Going through something like a divorce can particularly activate the Provision Wound - "But I'm in your house."
    - It's important to evaluate where you are in victim consciousness, especially if you balk at the idea of "being a victim."
    - If you think of habits and behaviors that are expressing wounds and getting in the way of growth, think of that conditioning like software, and evaluate where and when that software was "installed."
    - It's okay to have needs in a relationship - not every need is a codependency.

Burn the Dating Checklist & Learn to Love Anyone

Burn the Dating Checklist & Learn to Love Anyone

Episode 326: Ready to burn the dating checklist? Madelyn's monthly membership program, Sisu Society, is full of content and interaction beyond the podcast episodes. Each month there's typically two formal calls, and periodic spontaneous Facebook Live videos from Madelyn. This special episode of the podcast is one of those sessions. Inspired by the recent episode featuring Eva Clay, Madelyn candidly discusses some of her dating history and experiences, how it is we make the wrong kinds of "lists" when seeking dating partners, and how to burn the dating checklist and teach ourselves to be open to loving anyone.
    Show Notes:
Sisu Society features group coaching, interacting with members, and typically two calls - sometimes embodiment practices, teachings, sharing circles, guests. There are also spontaneous Facebook Live videos with candid and intimate musings directly from Madelyn - this episode is one of those videos. This episode is a follow-up/sister of the recent Eva Clay episode: maddymoon.com/eva-clay/ Remember to be a kingmaker - don't look for your perfect king. You're going to make him your perfect king (and by making him the king, you become the queen). In the last two weeks Madelyn has been on her first break from Instagram since she joined the site. When Madelyn was dating in apps, her standards and expectations were in the wrong domains. If you base you relationships in openness, honesty, and momentous living, every relationship is a gift. You can still honor and respect the body's urgency while having an open permission people for people to exist as they are. Polyamory, Throuples, and Bisexuality with Amanda Katherine Loy

Polyamory, Throuples, and Bisexuality with Amanda Katherine Loy

Episode 325: Amanda Katherine Loy (she/her) — also known on Instagram as that Bisexual Body Positive BRCA babe — is on a mission to help you face your fears, speak your truth and get you one step closer to living your f*ck yes life. She this does in multiple facets, through her work as an actor, a body confidence & mindset coach, podcast host, writer and speaker.
Amanda Katherine Loy has a long history of operating solely from a place of shoulds — unconsciously dimming her light and keeping herself small in hopes that it would keep her safe, seen and accepted through a myriad of ways: eating disorder cycles, over exercising, work-aholism, toxic relationships and beyond. Through her own unique journey to liberation, she’s become wildly passionate about arming her fuck yes community with the tools to help them step into their fullest and most authentic selves, so that they can live every day feeling unapologetic AF in their own skin and truly come home to themselves.
In 2018, she launched her top charting weekly podcast, Live Your F*ck Yes Life — the space to be for conscious conversations and candid shares around shit nobody really f*cking talks about. And in 2019, she courageously shared her journey of navigating a preventative double mastectomy at the age of 27 in her self published book, I Chopped Off My Tits. She spends most of her time sharing her musings every week over on Instagram and her podcast, so come on over and join in on the magic that is all things living YOUR fuck yes life.
    Show Notes:
Sisu will be changing platforms in the near future - announcement soon in the newsletter. Amanda's book, I Chopped Off My Tits, details her first experience with being bullied and how these experiences affect us into adulthood. - amandakatherineloy.com/book Amanda was married for eight years before they opened their relationship to polyamory. She came out as bisexual two years ago on her podcast. Polygamy - religious practice, usually one man with multiple wives. Polyamory - ethical nonmonagamy, a perspective on how we love. Central to this is the idea that you can choose your best relationship, whether that's polyamory or monogamy. If you're a couple exploring polyamory, it's very important to communicate and treat the "third" with a lot of care. Many people use polyamory as a "loophole" to manipulate and effectively cheat. Polyamory can be like a flashlight on your deepest wounds and insecurities. If you're doing feminine/masculine work, it doesn't necessarily mean your partner needs to be working in that domain. For those thinking of love and relationships in any capacity, ask yourself, "Am I showing up consciously?" Connect with Amanda:

A Sparkly Approach to Dating While the Biological Clock is Ticking with Tantrika Eva Clay

A Sparkly Approach to Dating While the Biological Clock is Ticking with Tantrika Eva Clay

Episode 324: In this episode Madelyn and sexologist Eva Clay discuss modern dating while eternally conscious of the pressures of the biological clock, connection, enchantresses, and keeping your embodiment practice in the fore while seeking a life mate. Eva Clay is an acclaimed sexologist and psychotherapist whose mission is to illuminate the ménage-a-trois of soul, sex and science. She's helped thousands of people unlock their innate potential for pleasure, and as a former professor of neuroscience, she bodaciously reminds us that smart is sexy. Her work is an elegant marriage of the profound and the playful, and has been a practitioner of sexual tantra for over a decade. She’s been featured as an expert in major media appearances, is a regular guest on Channel Q and has appeared as a keynote speaker at the Wanderlust yoga festivals.
    Show Notes:
How to be present on dates when the biological clock is ticking? Women learning about their physiology is incredibly empowering and puts them in mastery. "Ditch the Frame" - Replace, "Could he be the one?" with sensual questions of, "What is the tenor or tone of our exchange? How much pleasure do I experience when sharing space with him?" The "frame" creates contraction and anxiety in the body and dims your radiant light. Men do not want to be interviewed as the "baby daddy." Think of a cervix as you embody your openness and desire in your dress, body language, and communication. When setting up dating profiles, rather than the hard edges of, "I don't want this," or, "I don't like this," instead effusively express that which you love, and he will be magnetized to you. Discernment is okay too - evaluate integrity, frequency and vibration, how you feel when you're around them. Study the great enchantresses like Cleopatra to better practice your energetic gifts in the domain of dating.
