Prelude to Eph. 4-6: “Living With Your Siblings – Understanding the Unique Challenges of Church Unity”
Speaker: Pastor Patrick J Griffiths
Paul has gone to great lengths in Ephesians 1-3 to show how the work of Jesus so thoroughly deals with sin’s divisiveness that there is in Him neither Jew nor Gentile, male nor female, slave nor master, but all are equally acceptable and equally accessible to the Father. If this is true, then why is the church such a divided mess? And why do we find it so hard to get along with others? Today’s study will explore eight unique challenges of
church unity and how we can be more intentional in the gospel implications. -
Eph. 3:14-21 "A Love That Surpasses Understanding"
Speaker: Connor Shady
Ephesians 3:14-21 unveils Paul’s beautiful and pastoral prayer, drawing upon the boundless love and power of God to transform the hearts and lives of believers. We are to live from our identity as loved. -
Eph. 3:1-13 "The Mystery Revealed"
Speaker: Pastor Giles Litzner
The gospel is for the nations – and that’s always been the plan. -
Eph. 2:11-22 “For He Himself is Our Peace”
Speaker: Pastor Patrick J Griffiths
The believer’s reconciliation in Christ produces unity
among the various members of the one body, the one citizenship, the one household, and the one Temple. Because we are inundated with all forms of godless unity, we can barely manage and appreciate the unity we do have in Christ. This passage isn’t telling us the unbelieving world has been reconciled to God. All unity apart from the gospel is disunity. Only those in Christ, in the Church are one. But that is challenge enough. What does this mean and what does this look like? -
Eph. 2:1-10 “But God – The Great Reversal”
Speaker: Pastor Patrick J Griffiths
The believer’s redemption is a work of grace through faith. His condition solicited such a response by God, without which salvation is impossible. -
Eph. 1:15-23 “Lavish Love Inspires Lavish Prayer”
Speaker: Pastor Giles Litzner
A prayer for the church to understand her union with Jesus
– who we are and what we possess.
