To Quit or Not To Quit
We all have moments where we want to quit our job. The question is, how often does that happen before you seriously leave? It might be because of the work environment, the culture, other staff, family needs, or money. No matter what the reason, it's important to be honest with yourself and comfortable with your decision to leave a job before you do.

Making the Leap
As we get older and we grow, our interests, goals, and direction in life will also change. That’s not a bad thing. Think about when you were 10 years old. What did you want to do? We are going to talk about two groups of people. 1. People who moved into the performing arts world after having jobs and careers in other fields and 2. People who were in the performing arts and left for other industries.

The Pros and Cons of Transferable Skills
Translating a skill for another industry is an art in itself. You need to show how that skill works FOR the new industry in terms that the hiring manager understands. The concern is that these skills aren’t proven. This can be a problem for all skills. If you can’t prove how successful you are at using that skill, then the employer doesn’t know what to do with it. If you can explain your skill to be the best fit for an industry, then you’re winning. We want your future employer to see what you can do and how it’s beneficial to them.

Branding for your job search
The concept of branding confused the shit out of me. It’s the whole presentation of you, and it can be hard to identify if branding is a logo (The M for McDonalds) or a color pallet (Orange and white for home depot) or a catch phrase (Have it your way Burger King) but it’s all that and more. When job searching, this is one of those things that can help you stand out. Help you be memorable. What are the things that make you an individual? Translating all of your arts skills into a new industry, you DEFINITELY have skills that are different from the other people applying.
