Zen Principles in Motion with Ultrarunner Katie Arnold

Zen Principles in Motion with Ultrarunner Katie Arnold

    We will learn:

How a radical use of present-tense affirmations can reshape your reality.

How to embrace boredom and repetitive activities as a superpower

How to truly flow with life

If you’re anything like me (and I’ve got a hunch that you might be, given that you’re listening to this podcast), you have spent quite a bit of time working on yourself.
But eventually, you get to a point where you think, okay, this is all good in theory, but what about in practice?
It’s easy to feel enlightened when you’re off in a cave or an ashram, but it’s our real lives that are the portal to our own awakening.
When you can find the bliss in doing the dishes, the meditation in running on a trail, or… find God in the brother you haven’t spoken to in years… that’s when you truly start to understand what zen is all about.
So today, we're diving into how we can bring these zen principles into our everyday lives, transform mundane tasks into moments of mindfulness, and navigate the complexities of life with a sense of calm and presence.
Because the true test of zen isn't how peaceful you feel in solitude but how centered you remain in the midst of it all.
Our guest is Katie Arnold. She is an award-winning journalist, longtime contributor to Outside Magazine, and author of the acclaimed 2019 memoir Running Home. She’s a Zen practitioner and champion ultrarunner, and she teaches writing and running retreats, exploring the link between movement and creativity, wilderness and stillness. Her new book, Brief Flashings in the Phenomenal World: Zen and the Art of Running Free, is a spiritual guide and an exploration of how to be.

The Secrets to Inner Sovereignty: Reclaiming Your Freedom, Energy, and Power with Emma Seppälä

The Secrets to Inner Sovereignty: Reclaiming Your Freedom, Energy, and Power with Emma Seppälä

    We will learn:

The true consequences of external validation

How to shift from time management to energy management

How your relationships reflect your self-worth and how to break the cycle

Do you want to know a powerful question you can ask yourself every time you react to something: Am I responding this way because it’s necessary or because of a past experience?
Our experiences, especially from childhood, shape a huge part of who we are today. Memories, beliefs, and habits get deeply rooted in our subconscious minds. Then, they control our actions and reactions more than most of us even realize.
But here's the good news: becoming aware of this starts to loosen the grip your past has on your present and future.
So today, we’re talking about sovereignty, or the inner power, independence, and self-control to make choices based on your true self, not outside pressure or past conditioning.
Our guest is Dr. Emma Seppälä. She's a speaker, author, and lecturer at Yale University. She's known for her expertise in the science of happiness, emotional intelligence, and social connection. She wrote the book, “The Happiness Track,” (Harper One, 2016), and her latest work, “Sovereign” (Hay House, 2024).

Communicating with Open Hearts and Open Minds for Respectful Disagreements with Justin Jones-Fosu

Communicating with Open Hearts and Open Minds for Respectful Disagreements with Justin Jones-Fosu

    We will learn:

How to plant seeds of change within your relationships

How to challenge your perspective and understand others more deeply

How to use an inside-out approach when dealing with disagreements

Have you ever been in the middle of an argument and felt like there was no way out?
The exhausting back-and-forth where nobody seems to give an inch can leave you wondering if there's a way to find common ground without giving up what you believe in.
We often try to show who we are by what we believe. And in a way, that becomes true. Because if we identify with our belief system, it's who we become and it's who others see us as.
But if we identify with a deeper set of values, then we start to see everything else as just the armor we wear. The outfit we have on.
Who we truly are is always beyond that. And if we can get over ourselves long enough to connect on that level, I honestly believe our entire world would change.
So that's what we're talking about today. Our guest is Justin Jones-Fosu. He's the embodiment of energy, both at home and on top of the world's highest peaks. He recently even conquered one of the famous 7 Summits. He's also the author of books like "Your WHY Matters NOW," "The Inclusive Mindset," and his latest thought-provoking work, "I Respectfully Disagree: How to have Difficult Conversations in a Divided World."

From Self-Doubt to Wise Confidence with Giovanni Dienstmann

From Self-Doubt to Wise Confidence with Giovanni Dienstmann

    We will learn:

When we should take a different approach to self-acceptance

How to develop an aspirational identity

The three pillars of self-confidence and how they can transform your self-image

Have you ever had that inner voice that whispers, “I can’t do this,” right before you’re about to take on something new?
Or maybe it’s louder, a persistent chant of self-doubt that seems to paralyze you, keeping you stuck where you are, not really moving forward in life.
But that’s not your true inner voice. It’s the reptilian brain. The part that’s been running the show since the caveman days. And if you don’t learn to manage that part of your brain, you never clear the weeds to hear your true inner voice.
So, I want you to imagine moving through life with a sense of purpose and alignment, making choices not from a place of fear but from a place of confidence.
That’s exactly what we’re diving into today. The concept of Wise Confidence.
Our guest is Giovanni Dienstmann. He’s been on the show before and has produced a masterclass for our membership. He is a self-discipline coach, meditation teacher, and author who focuses on the intersection between wisdom, peace, and power. Giovanni has helped executives, entrepreneurs, artists, and pro athletes to live a more focused and purposeful life.

Breaking the Cycle of Ancestral Trauma and Inherited Anxiety with Laura Rhodes-Levin

Breaking the Cycle of Ancestral Trauma and Inherited Anxiety with Laura Rhodes-Levin

    We will learn:

The hidden impact of historical trauma and how it's shaping your current behaviors and anxieties

How the scars of your past can be converted into unique gifts and strengths

How love as an active process can change your mental health

    Can you relate to this?
You grow up looking at your family, thinking, "Phew, thank goodness I'm not like them."
But then, one day, it hits you like a ton of bricks. You catch yourself saying the exact same things your mom used to say, word for word.
Now, it might not be a big deal when it's just a saying or something we tell our kids or the way we carry ourselves. But what if it's something that really impacts our daily life, like anxiety?
The truth is, you have the power to change course by reprogramming your patterns.
And here's the really cool part: when you do that, you're not just changing your own life - you're also changing the course for your entire family line.
Laura Rhodes-Levin is a licensed therapist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling and is known for her unique approach in the understanding of anxiety and anxiety disorders. She is also the author of “The Missing Peace: Rewire Your Brain, Reduce Anxiety, and Recreate Your Life.”

Connecting to Higher Consciousness through Sacred Geometry and Energy Fields with Gail & Gregory Hoag

Connecting to Higher Consciousness through Sacred Geometry and Energy Fields with Gail & Gregory Hoag

    We will learn:

Unexpected ways these ancient symbols can elevate your consciousness.

How your aura and chakras could be affecting your physical and spiritual well-being.

How to pull energy from higher dimensions to impact your daily reality.

Have you ever thought about why some days you feel perfectly in tune with the universe and other days it feels like everything is just against you?
What if there’s a deeper pattern at play, a blueprint that connects us not just to the random things that happen but to the very fabric of the universe itself?
This is called sacred geometry, and it's the secret language of nature. It's the ancient science that looks at how everything from beehives to entire galaxies follows the same universal patterns.
Spirit science describes it as the building blocks of consciousness. They say that by understanding these patterns, we can start to see where we've been, where we are now, and where we're headed in life.
I've known about sacred geometry for a while, but it wasn't until recently that it clicked for me how this knowledge can actually help us in our day-to-day lives.
Today we’re talking about how we can attune ourselves to align with the universal flow and even pull from higher dimensions.
Our guests are Gail and Gregory Hoag. They have over four decades of expertise in the realm of Sacred Geometry, and they have pioneered groundbreaking technologies and new discoveries that have changed thousands of lives all over the world.
