    Remember

    Remember

Why do we forget things that seem so important? We are not above forgetting things. Some things are not worth remembering while others are very important. We should never forget what God has done for us.

Some of us have forgotten the great things that God has done for us. The miracles that He has done we’ve let slip by, forgetting them. Only God was able to perform such things. How do you remember things? Post-it Notes, calendars, reminders on your phone, etc. Even though we have all of these great things we still forget.

    He’s Alive!

We should be reminded that Jesus is alive and not dead. He can hear us and knows our thoughts. Even though He came to Earth and died for our sins, He didn’t stay dead. He lives inside of our hearts and He is the reason why we press on.

    He’s perfected and sanctified us

His body was broken and His blood was sacrificed. If you’ve been born again then you’ve been sanctified and perfected through Him. Each person has their own testimony and that work is real and brings a longing and hope for Heaven. We have a reason to rejoice. Romans 6; 2 Corinthians 5

    His promises

We have a book full of promises that have all come true. Not a single thing will guide us astray. We can carry this book around anywhere we want whether physically or within our hearts. It’s been placed within our hearts. The Holy Ghost confirms the Word as true within our hearts.

    Sins are gone

Being saved means our sins are gone, purged, and forever put away. Many days will come and the enemy will try his best to trip us up. Be reminded that his time is limited and he can only take us so far. We will never be in control of him.

    Jesus’ sacrifice is final

His sacrifice is the only way to salvation. His sacrifice was final.

    Hebrews 10:19-25

A Study Of Leviticus [Part 4]

A Study Of Leviticus [Part 4]

    Be Encouraged In God!

    Be Encouraged In God!

The world wants the church to die. They don’t want the church to stop singing, worshipping God, speaking of Jesus, etc. This might be the last time that we are allowed to worship together in one mind and one accord.

David had every right to lay it all down, however he stood up and praised God anyway. We as humans like to be held in the depression of everything that is going wrong. Don’t we operate on our own schedules? We have all the time in the world to do the worldly things but when it comes to God we just don’t have the time for Him. We ought to be encouraged by what God has done for us. Yet we sit back and don’t want to move for Him.

The churches that maintain sound doctrine are showing a great decline in their church attendance. The world doesn’t want to hear sound doctrine, it doesn’t feel good. The scripture is plain when it says that people will not want sound doctrine in the end times.

If someone isn’t right with God it hurts the church body. If you’re one of them that has a problem, get right with God so the church can move. Don’t be discouraged, be lifted up! God is the same today just the same as He was yesterday. He left the 99 to find the one. If one would put that in a money perspective that is a lot to leave behind just to go after one dollar.

The devil wants you to believe that God hasn’t done anything for you. He wants you to think that no one cares for you. Stop and think back to what God has truly done for you. The devil is a liar and the father of them. Stop being burdened down by the things that don’t have anything to do with God.

Be An Example Of The Believers

Be An Example Of The Believers

A note to the graduates, life is hard. There are a lot of things in an adult life that just don’t make sense.

To the young adults graduating, to the church, and also to Christ you are representatives. You are an ambassador to Christ and it goes beyond your education, friends, or spouse. Several folks have been raised in the church with sound doctrine and it will support them throughout their life. As a child, it will go with them through their life as well.

As a high school graduate, your college education will most likely include a time when they will try to influence you that there is a better way. There might be a lot of things that man has tried to create that look very appealing. Don’t drink the “Kool-aid”! The flesh wants what it thinks is good. The devil has lied about bigger and better things since the beginning of time. Stick to what you know is true and good. In the last days, there will be people who will turn away from God and turn towards fleshly desires. They will have a form of godliness but will not know God. The devil wants you to fail. He is always throwing his darts at you to bring you down. Keep your guard up at all times.

The world is out to take God down and everyone that is for Him. We should always be exercising Godliness. If you sow to the flesh you will reap the whirlwind of the world. If you sow to God’s glory then you will reap His blessings and glory. This is a good exercise to sow for God. When you exercise your faith in God then you will always have a spotter. Not only will you have other Godly friends but you’ll have God that will never leave you no matter the time. Being Godly means you must work towards it all the time. It’s not a switch that you just turn on whenever you want to be Godly. It’s an exercise that must be done at all times. If you’re exercising Godliness others will see it. If they see a wavering life they will not ask for your help because they can’t trust you. However, if you live a life of Christ then they will see your unwavering devotion and will want to know how you do it.

The devil wants people to think they’re alone. He wants you to think that no one cares. If you’ve been born again then you will NEVER be alone. It matters how you live! As a Christian, we are all in it together and you are not alone. Don’t ever think you are above being deceived. Many Christians have laid down their cross because of the lies of the devil. Don’t ever lose faith! As a Christian, you know of many other Christians that you can always reach out to for help if you ever need it. Don’t let the devil slip you up, turn to Christ.

Generally speaking, an 18-year-old follows their flesh. They go into drugs, dress, conversation, promiscuous behavior, etc. They will follow into the life of the world. They do this because of their youthful way of thinking. You will reap what you sow. If you live this lifestyle then you will have scars to show for it. It’s a deadly lifestyle and will lead to death and Hell if you’re not saved.

Word & Conversation. The things you’ve been taught. There are things about God that most don’t know. Be an example of those things. Also, your speech can betray you if you’re not careful.

Love & Spirit. Agape love, if you don’t love Christ then it makes it hard to love those that seem unlovable.

Faith. Simply believe in God. You won’t be able to see Him at times but anchor yourself in Him.

Purity. There is no substitute for a Godly life. Sexually, you need to stay pure. It matters what goes into your mouth and comes out of it. You can’t live the way you want to and it does not matter. That’s one of the biggest lies from the devil.

    Faith in Grace & Mercy

    Faith in Grace & Mercy

Ephesians 2:8; What you have down here in this world doesn’t compare to what was given to a lost person when they receive salvation.

John 10:9; Being fed by God can’t compare to the food on earth.

Acts 4:12, Romans 3:23, 25, 24; A saved person doesn’t deserve anything. A home, cars, parents, or food on the table; none of these things compare to the salvation that one receives. The blessings that God gives are great and wonderful but they can’t compare to His forgiveness and salvation.

We often times talk about grace and mercy but it’s the faith in them that’s just as important. The faith is what brings the grace and mercy.

    Lukewarm, Search Yourself

    Lukewarm, Search Yourself

Lukewarm water or indecisive, indifferent. Hot water is good to soak and bathe in, to get clean. Cold water is refreshing and cooling. Lukewarm water is not good and is oftentimes stagnant and full of pollutants.

As Christians, we should strive to not be lukewarm. We should never be lukewarm for Christ. We should always be working, obeying God, and doing what He says. We don’t have all the time in the world to get ready to work. The time is now! If the people don’t serve God when the church doors are open then how are you going to do it when the doors are closed? If you love God then you will be praying for revival and when it comes then you’ll be there to support it. Whatever God has called you to do then you better be doing it to the best of your abilities. God isn’t going to put you in a place where He knows you’re going to fail. You might struggle a little but in the end, the reward is greater.

Most live in a life that thinks that God owes us anything and everything we want. The Bible is clear that we deserve nothing and we are all wretched and poor.

God wants us to place Him as number one in our lives. If we put anything in front of Him then we’ve got the cart before the horse. Whatever we place before God will let us down and steer us in the wrong direction. If God is first then He will lead and He knows where and what to do.

A lukewarm church just lets things happen regardless if the sin. In other words, it doesn’t care about the people that are dying and going to Hell. A church’s focus should be to please God and not others. It’ll wear out a person if they are constantly stepping around and over sin. It’s much easier to confront it, and deal with it according to God than to step over it.
