    After experiencing life literally flipping her upside down from a debilitating ATV accident in 2012, Sarah went from feeling disabled to becoming a disability icon. She has been featured on major stages and platforms all over the US, including multiple times on the Tony Robbins podcast, the Mel Robbins Show and a featured story in "Your Second Act" by Patricia Heaton. Sarah’s helped thousands of people of all abilities gain confidence, take ownership of their story and become the icons they are.

    Today Sarah is passionate about guiding people to use their
    story to impact themselves, others and the world. As a certified Tony Robbins Breakthrough Coach, plus a background in fitness, spa and television industries, she shares the tools and perspectives that help others experience the richness and beauty from every circumstance.

She is a licensed MD with active licenses in Florida, Oregon, Washington State, and Colorado. She is a scientist by training (Pathology) who
    got her MD degree from the University of Hamburg ~ Germany and London ~ United Kingdom.

    She received her Pathology training at Yale University, Connecticut and Mayo Clinic, Minnesota and is a practicing pathologist in Florida. Her interest in death and disease fostered an equal interest in Life and Health. Additionally she studied to be a Acupuncturist at a 5 Element Acupuncture Academy, Bioenergetics and is a Licensed Bioenergetic Therapist, Family Constellation and is a Senior Family Constellation Facilitator in the United States, Ordained teacher of the Diamond Approach by the Ridhwan Foundation.

    This makes her uniquely qualified to tap into the individual’s health matrix , help identify blocks , issues and patterns and facilitate a pivot and a path towards health - Healthcare in its true sense - not Disease care.

    Directors of Movement is Life, a nonprofit coalition committed to advancing health equity. Her recent book,
    “Taking Care of You: The Empowered Woman’s Guide to Better Health” (Mayo Clinic Press 2022), supports women taking charge of their own health. A recipient of the Diversity Awards of both the American Academy of Orthopaedical Surgery and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons as well as the Mayo Clinic Distinguished Clinician Award, she is Professor Emerita of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic and past Professor of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. O’Connor is past chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Florida and past president of numerous orthopedic societies. An Olympian (US Women’s Rowing), she is passionate in her promotion of the power of sports for girls and women and the benefits to all of physical activity.

    Valerie Cordero, Ph.D., is a dynamic non-profit leader, mental health advocate, and ethnomusicologist. After dedicating several years of her life traveling to and studying arts and culture in Havana, Cuba, she began her nonprofit career at Families for Depression Awareness (FFDA). Valerie
    accepted Co-Executive Director leadership at FFDA in 2016 and, since then, has become a prominent voice for suicide prevention, mental health parity, and health equity.  

    Valerie has advanced national discussions of mood disorders and been featured on major media outlets such as Reader’s Digest, Better Homes & Gardens, and New York Magazine’s vertical The Cut. In 2023, she presented at several conferences including the Suicide and the Black Church conference, Psych Congress, Black Mental Health Symposium, and the National Federation of Families annual conference. Valerie draws from her decades of experience to champion the role of the mental health family caregiver and advocate for culturally-responsive, affordable, and accessible mental health care.

    Valerie received her BA from Spelman College and her MA and PhD degrees in ethnomusicology from UCLA. Her volunteer roles have included serving on advisory and nonprofit boards. Valerie utilizes her Spanish-speaking skills to make cross-cultural connections in her community.
