How to set up and use the Facebook ad pixel for better campaign results Ads that Convert

    • Management

One of the most popular questions I get asked as a Facebook Ad Strategist is this:
“What is a Facebook Pixel?”
That’s certainly a good question! A Facebook Pixel is that pesky piece of  HTML code that every advertiser should be using for their business (I say “should”, because I know not everyone does!). It is specific to YOU and will be the go-between from your website and Ads Manager so you can track your ad process, progress and results.
Now, you may be running for the hills at the sound of tech-talk, but keep listening, because on this episode, I am going to give you 6 simple steps to follow so you can easily find and set up your pixel perfectly - even if you're a complete technophobe!
(You can also follow along by downloading my free Step by Step Guide to Using the Facebook Ad Pixel for Better Campaign Results! Get the guide by clicking here).

Here are some of the key takeaways you will get from this episode:
Step 1: Where you find your Facebook Pixel.
Whether you are an Ads Manager pro, A Business Manager genius or someone who is just starting out, snagging your Facebook Pixel really is a breeze!
Step 2: How to copy the code.
It’s as simple as that…really!

Step 3:  Learn where to put it.
I will walk you through the exact places (yes, more than one location!) to put the Facebook Pixel on your website to track activity.

Step 4: How to make sure you did it right.
This isn’t just a “one-and-done” job! Just like in school, there are ways to double-check your work to get an A+!

Step 5: Find out about “re-targeting”.
You know how when you are browsing on Amazon and you put something in your cart, but then all of a sudden it shows up your Facebook newsfeed, reminding you to purchase it? That is called “re-targeting”! Spooky, yet effective and necessary for a successful Facebook Ad!

Step 6: How to track conversions.
Conversions are what we want, so this is a crucial step you really want to stick around to hear about!
So there you have it! Between this episode and my free guide, you are all set to fire off your very first Facebook Pixel! Even if this is sounding super complicated geeky and techy, remember that it’s not. Take your time, go through the steps in this podcast episode and the step-by-step guide I gave you, and you will not only understand the process of your advertising campaign, but understand your audience, their habits and lower the cost of your ads.
