2. Ep2 Yugen Project - Jamie Miranda - Extreme challenges, adventure variety and mental health struggles Yugen Project

    • Places & Travel

In the second Yugen project podcast Yugen founder Grace chats to Jamie Miranda about his crazy challenges, having adventure variety in your life and his mental health struggles.

We chat about the crazy challenges Jamie has done both in the UK and overseas and what he has planned for the future. These include hiking, expeditions, running... and who knows what else! He also talks about being really strict and hard on himself and how he can't do things by half.

Jamie is an advocate for trying new things and gets obsessed with new hobbies but talks about how it's useful to have variety when he is recovering from injury.

We also discuss his mental health struggles over the years. Chatting about how he has coped during lockdown after being furloughed and trying to stay motivated and make the most of the year. He says how the outdoors has been his saviour and we discuss the extremely dark place he found himself in previously... Jamie is hoping that by being open about the topic, he might just help other men suffering from poor mental health and depression. What an awesome guy!

Jamie is such a genuine and lovely guy who wears his heart on his sleeve, which is why he is a Yugen ambassador! He has some epic achievements under his belt and we would definitely recommend giving this episode a listen.
