22. Emily Gough - Recovering from Infidelity Career Resilience with Jann Danyluk

    • Business

"I was standing on the ashes of my life."
Emily Gough, Human Connection Coach & Host, Room to Grow Podcast.

Relationship breakdowns are always painful, even more so when infidelity is the root cause. Emily shares her journey from finding out that her relationship was not what she thought it was through to the coping mechanisms she put in place to survive. Even though, as Emily says, she was standing on the ashes of her life, she was able to learn, grow and forgive. She points out that forgiveness is for us, not for the person who hurt us. It takes a lot of resilience to work while going through difficult personal times. Emily provides ideas to help others through traumatic personal experiences. Her tips include allowing ourselves compassion, finding ways of moving our bodies, staying hydrated and nourished and asking for help.
