33. Academic Anesthesiology - Dr. Lisa Bahrey Northern Exposure

Dr. Lisa Bahrey is an Associate Professor and Staff Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist and Intensivist at the Toronto General Hospital and is the current Postgraduate Program Director for the Department of Anesthesia, University of Toronto (UofT). She completed medical school at McMaster University, Anesthesia residency at UofT, and fellowship training in Cardiovascular Anesthesia and Transesophageal Echocardiography at the Toronto General Hospital. Dr. Bahrey is a leader in medical education: she completed the Stepping Stones Educator Program and graduated from the Education Scholar’s Program at UofT’s Center for Faculty Development. Dr. Bahrey has held numerous academic roles in Medical Education throughout her career, was a member of the Examination Board for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Anesthesia for 6 years and is currently a Surveyor for the Royal College Accreditation Committee.
