Fantastic resource
This is an amazing podcast for anyone who loves rum, or anyone who wants to learn more about rum and rum cocktails. Kevin puts in a lot of time doing his homework and then delivers the information in a clear and easily understood way.
Listen if you want to learn about rum production, want a review of a specific rum, or if you need new cocktail recipes - or all three.
A great show - and its a little longer than 5 minutes!
I discovered this show a few months ago via Instagram of all places. After listening to one episode, I went back and listened to the entire back catalogue. Kevin has a great way of delivering episode content that is fun to listen to and easy to understand. The production quality of the podcast is excellent, and the content is fantastic. Every episode, the host Kevin Upthegrove picks a rum to review. Included in the episode are notes on the rum, as well as recipes. He will often pick another cocktail ingredient to provide some history on as well, which I’ve found very informative. I’m a tiki culture enthusiast, and Kevin shares the same tastes in this regard, focusing episodes on classic tiki recipes such as the Zombie and the Mai Tai. This podcast is highly recommended.
