If you like the Nerdist podcast you'll probably like this too.

Listening to A Bit of a Chat is sort of like eavesdropping on a conversation. Sometimes more formal and interviewey, at other times like a stroll down memory lane or a silly phone call with an old friend. I have discovered amazing things through Ken Plume. One of my favourite podcasts.

Plume in your cap

So many great guests, so much funny. Plume has a great loose style that many guests like so much they come back again and again.

Could have been an excellent podcast

This is so infuriatingly close to be an exceptional, must-listen podcast. Ken asks some great questions and the guests, on the whole, seem comfortable answering with great candour. However, in order to take his podcasts to the next level, Ken needs to realize two things:

1) His guests are infinitely funnier than he is
2) We've downloaded the podcasts to listen to his guests, not him

Too often, guests are interrupted mid-stream or are left laughing nervously at another bad joke. Maybe it's a result of the interviews being conducted at a distance, but Ken's interruptions are tiring and frustrating. Please, please, please just let your guests speak, don't interrupt them, and don't try to be funny…you'll end up with one of the best podcasts around.
