We are called to demonstrate faith that endures even to the point of death (Revelation 2:10). This Sunday, we will look into this essential element of our spiritual growth and maturity as we learn from the story of Peter’s walk on water.

As we continue to explore the essentials for spiritual growth, we turn our attention to wisdom. The Scriptures portray the pursuit of wisdom as an absolute essential for anyone who wants to live their lives for God. But what is wisdom anyway? Why is it important for the follower of Jesus to pursue? And how do we pursue it? Join us on Sunday as we set our sights on Pursuing Wisdom together.

As part of our current sermon series on the “Essentials for Spiritual Growth,” we will delve into an important indicator of a growing faith: hungering and thirsting for righteousness. We will look into what Jesus Christ himself has to say about it and how this yearning is cultivated by the Holy Spirit in our hearts.

As we look into the essentials for spiritual growth, we come to an important characteristic: being intentional. Being intentional means to do something on purpose, not by accident. And, when it comes to growing in our faith, it’s a trait we need to cultivate. Join us on Sunday as we look at how the Scriptures can help us take an active and intentional role in our pursuit of being like Jesus.

The subject for consideration today is (having a) positive attitude. No one can force this on another. But it is important to have as part of our character. Today we’ll look at some individuals who made a difference because of having a ‘positive attitude’.

Jesus’ great commission to his church is to make disciples. The gospel accounts tell us that Jesus himself made disciples through a small group of twelve men who would later become his apostles. This Sunday, we will see how small groups are essential to discipleship.
