Remembering Shelly Longenecker
Her breastfeeding story began with her first 2 children, long before we met. There was a 7 year gap between her second and third baby. With Megan and Toby, she pursued very traditional medicine. Whatever she was told to do, she always followed her doctors advise and never questioned anything she was told. She did not realize at the time, but following some of her pediatricians advise is what compromised her breastfeeding and was a factor in her low milk supply with her first 2 babies.

Cow’s milk protein allergy in breastfed infants
Hey Ladies! I’ve been recently listening to your podcasts and loving it! I’m a first time mom and have been exclusively breastfeeding now for 4 months. My babe was having green poops and so my public health nurse and I were question if he was getting more foremilk than hindmilk as he was feeding for only 10 minutes at a time. So we altered the feedings to be able to get more hindmilk. The green poops cleared up but now there’s blood in the poops. My doctor mentioned that it may be cows milk protein allergy and advised me to cut out all dairy. What are your thoughts about this?
