American Shadows is a bi-weekly podcast from iHeartRadio and Aaron Mahnke’s Grim & Mild. The show focuses on the darker stories from American history: the people, places, and things that are hidden and forgotten in the shadows. From better-known tales like the conspiracy to steal Lincoln’s body, to less-known stories, like the rainmaker who flooded San Diego. Join host Lauren Vogelbaum as she spans two centuries of omitted lore from our country’s history books.

Slow Down, Lauren!
I’ve listened to two episodes and enjoyed both. HOWEVER, please slow down the narration!! Tried listening at half, but was too slow. Hope to be able to sway Lauren, as other reviewers seem to agree with me.
Wow
Just listened to the most recent podcast. The podcasts have been consistently great, and this was also great. While some of the events I was aware of, it gave me new information.
Well done, keep up the good work.
Excellent and Entertaining
It’s only one episode old, but being a fan of Lore and many iheart/how stuff works podcasts I had expectations of excellence.
I was not disappointed, Lauren Vogelbaum is an excellent choice for the narration. She has a melodic voice that draws you into the story.
Looking forward to future episodes.
Months into the podcast and my initial review stands. Keep it going.
