Thank You so much!!

Hey Tim,

I found your podcast back in mid March and it’s such a blessing. I’ve dealt with anxiety since I was in grade eight, and it nearly took my life through anorexia when I was nineteen years old. I stopped eating for 2 months that year because I was so distraught with my life. I was struggling with my relationships and a lot of religious pressure. Well meaning people telling me that God would only heal me of my “demons” if I would just come to church.. I know they were coming from a place of concern, but it was doing anything but that. If anything, I felt even more alone. I had sought help in the years after that. I learned some coping techniques (I am 30 years old now) but nothing really helped me challenge my anxiety. It was all just distraction methods. I would still hole myself up on my computer because it was safe to me.. and friendships I had suffered and I lost those friendships because no one understood how I was feeling because I looked ok, just acted very... weird. I had been on and off of work as well because I would work myself into a frenzy emotionally to the point of physical sickness and I’d let my workplace down and it would end in termination. I felt like I was the worst person, that I was just not worthy of a successful life.. I even gave up on college after my ex mother in law told me I was just not cut out for higher education..

Its now 2019, and I am so glad I found your podcast, it’s helped me to work through it through people’s stories and advice as well as yours too.. I’ve started to have self love for myself again. I’ve started school at Toronto Film School for Graphic Design and Interactive Media and it’s still challenging, but I’m not seeing these challenges as unattainable goals anymore. I get excited to take them on.

Thanks so much! <3 I love you and this Podcast so much!!

Great actionable insights!

What I absolutely love about your podcast is the practical and actionable insights you provide. As someone who has lived it yourself, you are speaking from experience and this is very encouraging to all of us who are listening to your podcast.

An episode that really stood out and impacted my career and personal life immediately was episode 331 – Tips & Tricks for Public Speaking Success! Two suggestions you made have already made a difference in my presentations and will continue to do so in the future.

1.) Greeting people when they come in has been a great way for me to break the ice and create a friendly atmosphere in the room before my presentations. This has done wonders for my confidence on stage and significantly lowers my anxiety.

2.) Your reminder that I am there for the audience, not myself, has not only lowered my anxiety, but it also adds more meaning to the presentation. Focusing on serving the audience has lowered my anxiety, made my presentations more fun and allowed me to be more in the moment.

Thanks again. Much appreciated!
