Backyard Hens: Home To Roost Connected To The Land Podcast

    • Home & Garden

On this episode of the Connected To The Land Podcast, sponsored by Peavey Mart www.peaveymart.com,  Ian learns all about the world of backyard hens with help from his guests Dr. Frank Robinson and Linda Johnson.  Dr. Robinson is a professor of Poultry Production and Physiology at the University of Alberta. For over 35 years he has been researching aspects of chicken reproduction and teaching university students and the general public about poultry production. He was also the founder of the U of A Heritage Chicken Program.

Linda Johnson is a resident of Edmonton and was part of Edmonton’s backyard hen pilot project. She is a huge fan of her urban hens and loves finding new ways to connect with the land and develop personal food security.
