1 phone call. 1 hour. No names. No holds barred. Thats the premise behind Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People, hosted by comedian Chris Gethard (the Chris Gethard Show, Broad City, This American Life, and one of Time Outs 10 best comedians of 2015). Every week, Chris opens the phone line to one anonymous caller, and he cant hang up first, no matter what. From shocking confessions and family secrets to philosophical discussions and shameless self-promotion, anything can and will happen! Theme song by Shellshag.

Sorry Sally. A man who respects the hell out of his mom
A great podcast that promotes mental health, kindness, empathy and curiosity about thehuman condition. Yours is the most relevant of all the podcasts out there. Initially it felt a bit like the island of misfit toys but now... it’s a whole beautiful display of all of us living our own human lives. They’re messy and beautiful and you help us see that with your lack of judgement and care for every caller. Thank you Chris for continuing to say we will all get a chance to spend an hour with you. You do this very well, you should do it for a long time. Your work makes a difference❤️
Why haven’t I reviewed this before? I’ve been listening since episode 1, and I’ll never stop. Utterly fascinating to get a glimpse into the lives of others. Chris is an amazing host and really knows how to carry the conversation when necessary without taking over too much. Moments of real humor and humanity. Amazing!
