    Hello this is Jonathan Jay - and welcome to episode 154 of the Business Buying Strategies podcast. 
    So this week, I want you to meet entrepreneur John Hood - now John and I first met many years ago, at a time when I had acquired a digital marketing agency that I was gearing up to sell.
    John is no stranger to the world of acquisition. By the age of 27, John had already either started or acquired a furniture business, a distribution business and an IT business.
    Our paths only crossed again in 2019, after John had identified home improvement and construction as a sector that was ideal for following my buy and build strategy.
    Here’s John talking about his background, and how with his first home improvement business acquisition, he made just about every mistake it was possible to make.
