If you were alive from 1945 - 1990, the Cold War was an ever-present reality. We grew up being told that the world could end any minute - and you probably wouldn't know it was coming until it hit. On this series we're going DEEP on the Cold War - why it happened, how it happened and where it left us. As with our other hit podcast series, this show contains heavy doses of bad language, irreverent humour and singalongs.

I want to collect them all!

Greetings again from Canada gentlemen. I wrote a review of the Yalta Conference Podcast once already when I was on the student membership so I didn't email about a gift but I am paying good money for it now so I am going to write another review in the hopes of reciving a mug in the mail to add to my collection. I was so pleased to learn that Ray and Cam were doing a podcast on the Yalta Conference that I binged through it with haste. I was deeply saddened once it was over, wondering would they end the story there or continue with a new adventure? And behold! we now have a history of The Manhattan Project, on the same feed as the Yalta Conference! What a time to be alive.

All the best!

Master Thespians

I have listened to many podcasts on the Cold War History in English, French, Spanish and Russian and I can tell that this is one of the best out there. It is the most thorough and complete. It is also one of the least biased. The podcasters have really tried to show all sides of the story and have achieved what few podcasters, especially English language podcasters, have been able to do, which is to understand and empathize with the Other , in this case the Russian point of view. Achieving empathy with other peoples is one of the best ways to make the world a better place and reduce the chance for future peace. So I encourage everyone, especially North Americans to subscribe and to give this podcast a try. The only other Podcast out there that comes close it veevat historia , a Russian podcast. which is a scary alternate universe version of this one. It also has a back and forth with an excellent host and professional historian Sergei Vivatenko who is very knowledgeable and tries to show good qualities in people that most Russians despise such as Churchill and Truman. Vivatenko ( or Russian Cam ) , explains western motives in a non-biased way and not portraying them as evil comic book figures. Russian Cams co-host is Alexandra Romashova who is a hot Russian babe and not a middle aged balding Man. But who am I to judge who a man choses as his co-host. Also instead of giggling when Russian Cam makes an inappropriate comment Russian Ray keeps him in line. So , in summary, these are the 2 best Cold War podcasts out there. Unless you speak Russian though, this is the only option for you.
Finally, why the title Master Thespians? Well clearly because of their ability to swear and not make it sound like fingernails on a blackboard. I have teenagers who watch junk teenage movies where everyone swears and it sounds awful. It takes a true Master Thespian to make profanity sound like a Cantata by Bach to ones ears. These gentlemen have achieved this. The only other person who ever came this close to perfection is Tarintino in Pulp Fiction.

"but its paid content and waaaaaa" Get over it!

$5 bucks a month and you get well produced, entertaining, engaging and insightful commentary and story telling about the way our present world has come to be from the ashes of world war ... and you also get another host chipping in laugh lines and mouth noises.

What does paid content get you? QUALITY

For example, if you had to name a public relations agency run by Barry and Stan:
Free content gets you "BS PR" ha ha ha yawn

Paid Content gets you "BarryStan", which became the name also of the most illustrious of the former Soviet Republics who were obviously moved to change names to copy the branding...
