Have you ever walked through trial after trial questioning how much more you can endure?
Have you ever doubted how in the world God would call you to something with your broken past lurking around every corner?
Have you ever just doubted God?
Well sis, this might just be the podcast for you.
The Bible tells us that the storms of life are inevitable in this lifetime. I’ll dare to say that when you jump into the deep end with Jesus, that’s actually where the waters get rough. But the storm set out to drown you is the very storm that God will use to refine, chisel, and call you.
In the Chiseled and Called podcast, Brittany Dawn is authentically raw about her walk with the Lord as she shares past struggles, biggest failures, and current uphill battles. This is a space where all are welcome and no story is too far past the point of redemption.
Hey girl! I’m Brittany Dawn. A born and raised Texan, wife, foster mom, and founder of She Lives Freed. In 2019, I had a radical, unexplainable incomprehensible encounter with Jesus that would forever change my life. Since that night, no aspect of my life has looked the same.
Since that pivotal moment four years ago, I have walked through excruciating seasons of pruning. I’ve lost everything and everyone, I’ve navigated divorce, walked through the flames of cancel culture, faced hardship, and found myself broken amidst heartbreak. Yet through every high and low, I can confidently say that my constant has been Jesus. That my constant always will be Jesus. And I’m here to encourage you that at the end of it all, if all you have is Him, He is all you need.
I joke with friends that I skip the surface level talk and dive right in to the deep conversations over a cup of coffee… but truthfully, that’s what I’m here to do. And through it all, point your focus right back to the King.
Think of each episode as a big sister talk. I’m here through your worst day, tilting your chin up towards the King and reminding you that you can, in fact, continue on. I’m here to point you to scripture that speaks truth when your circumstances shout otherwise. I’m here to remind you that your past is not too broken and you’re not too far gone.

Pornography, Lust, and Being Exposed at a Young Age
Do you ever feel alone in your struggle with porn addiction? Are you wondering if there's any hope of breaking free from the stronghold that lust has over your life? If you’re wrestling with this secret sin behind closed doors, Sis, you’re not alone. Pornography and lust can be used by the devil to steal, kill, and destroy. As it says in Revelation 12:1-12, “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”
And my special guest, Emily Robbie Smith, is here with her powerful testimony on a topic that many of you may have experienced in your own lives.
Emily Robbie Smith has been incredibly open about her testimony in this arena with her followers on Instagram and on TikTok. There's something to be said about the women of God who do not shy away from difficult conversations. Ready? Let’s dive in.

Christian Dating: Why Men are Afraid of Commitment with @realtrevalley
Have you ever thought that you found “the one,” only to find out they were afraid of commitment? Or maybe he was an unbeliever and you thought that you could be the one to “fix him” and lead him to Christ. Perhaps you’ve met a man who checks all the boxes – he has a walk with the Lord, a career, is good-looking and shows interest in you – but he doesn’t pursue you.
Society has completely flipped the relationship between a man and a woman upside down. So in this episode we're talking all things dating, all things men, and why guys – even the men of God – are so afraid of commitment.
My special guest, Branson, is someone who has been a little brother to both myself and to Jordan for the last few years. When I say that he is wise beyond his years, y'all! When he speaks, he demands respect in the most Christ-like way. I'm sure a few of you have seen his videos go viral on TikTok and on Instagram, he just has so much to say and it's so good.
Here are a few reasons to listen to the entire episode with Branson aka Tre Valley:
why Godly men are so afraid of commitment
the fear of rejection
dating a non-believer
how men have become indistinguishable from God-like men

Riots, Looting, Death Threats, and the Gospel in Dark Places with Russell Johnson
Do you find it hard to be courageous as a Christian in the times we're living in? More and more people are bowing to the opinions of others and to woke-culture instead of bowing to the cross. I get that standing up and using your voice makes you vulnerable to backlash, but guess what? Jesus Himself said, "If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you." With that topic in mind, I cannot think of a more perfect guest to have on for today's episode than Pastor Russell Johnson.
Pastor Russell Johnson was born and raised in Seattle and though he spent the first part of his adult-life working in politics, God had other plans. In the summer of 2014, Pastor Russell and his wife, Marija, stepped out in faith to start The Pursuit. Their church started in a barn with no indoor plumbing, no heat, and broken windows, but God was up to something.
In 2018, Pastor Russell and Marija purchased a former department store building and began a full-scale remodel, converting the space into a multi-use church, preschool/childcare facility, and outreach center. The Pursuit is a place where anyone can belong, everyone can contribute, and anything can happen.
In this episode, Pastor Russell Johnson and I talk about how the pandemic exposed backwards values, that cancel culture is only going to get worse, and how a little courage goes a long way.
Here are a few reasons to listen to the entire episode with Pastor Russell Johnson:
being courageous as a christian in today's culture
fighting back against cultural pressure
how God is working in churches around the world

The Reality of Foster Parenting: Peeking Behind the Curtain
Have you ever thought about becoming a foster parent? Do you feel that you have a calling in life? Is it something the Lord stirred in your heart sporadically? My guest in this episode, Jamie C. Finn, has been a great sounding board for my husband and me in our season of foster parenting, and she shares the most incredible perspectives on the foster care system and foster parenting.
Jamie C. Finn is the founder and executive director of Foster the Family, the author of Foster the Family, and a highly sought-after speaker for retreats, conferences, and events for foster and adoptive parents. She is also the founder and owner of Goods and Better.
Jamie's social media platforms provide a glimpse into life as a foster parent, as well as inspiration and encouragement to thousands of foster parents. Jamie lives in New Jersey, with her husband, Alan. And at any given moment, is a mother to four to six children, including her two biological children and two children adopted through foster care.
In this episode, Jamie C. Finn and I talk about how she and her husband became foster parents to 30 children, how God has used the foster care process to teach them, and advice for those considering fostering children.
Here are a few reasons to listen to the entire episode with Jamie C. Finn:
the mission behind Foster the Family
foster care is bigger than taking care of a child
biggest misconceptions of foster care
why churches need to step up

Abortion as a Christian: The Fight for Life
***Trigger Warning***
Today, we are going to be talking about abortion and other sensitive topics, such as miscarriage and rape — so if this is something you’re not ready to hear about, please feel free to exit out of this podcast and join us in the next episode.
Would you consider yourself a Christian who supports both abortion and women's rights? Perhaps you or someone you know only believes in abortion in extreme cases. I can't think of a topic more polarizing than abortion. My guest in this episode, Lila Rose, has been called the “messenger in chief of the pro-life movement” by Vice News and “the face of the millennial anti-abortion movement” by the Atlantic. And today, we are diving into this controversial discussion headfirst.
Lila Rose is a writer, speaker, and activist who founded and serves as president of Live Action, a human rights organization with the largest online impact among pro-life and pro-abortion groups. She has devoted her life to ending abortion and making America a more welcoming place to raise a family. Lila speaks internationally on family and cultural issues. She has addressed members of the European Parliament and has spoken at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Lila is a wife, a mother, and the author of “Fighting for Life: Becoming a Force for Change In A Wounded World.”
In this episode, Lila and I are going to be talking about abortion, being pro-life as a Christian, and what God's Word says about this.
Here are a few reasons to listen to the entire episode with Lila Rose:
it's never right to intentionally take a child's life
taking a child’s life is not a medical treatment
there are medical treatments and ways to care for both mother and child

Customer Reviews
❤️
I really loved it, thank you for encouraging and speaking Gods truth. Thank you for being bold and honest. ❤️❤️ can’t wait to hear more
Nah - updated April 4
To Brittany: leaving a negative review is not bullying. People are allowed not to like your podcast, and you can't have a lawyer email me to remove my rating. Your podcast is boring word salad, and you conned yourself good reviews by paying people for it. The podcast world is oversaturated- you have to be outstanding to get good reviews. You're a grifting plagiarist. You're holding people's attention like a seive. If you don't want honest reviews, don't publish on platforms that allow feedback. I'm loving that you don't get to delete the truth because you're not on social media for this. If you want glowing reviews, work hard. Nobody gets rave reviews to start- it takes YEARS and good interview skills to get a podcast to high ranks. You're just taking youtube skills to a podcast- your youtube view count, minus the ones you pay for, should tell you that that's a tired idea and people have lost interest. People don't listen to podcasts to hear the host. They listen to hear a guest. You are very you-centric, and people already know what you're about. She literally broke terms of service on day one by putting up a contest for $150 for anyone who gave her a 5 star review and emailed her a screenshot. This woman is a cheater from start to finish in life, she refuses to do literally anything the honest way; meanwhile, other people work to the bone without paying for a leg up to be successful. She makes christians look bad. You can find honest people elsewhere. All her stories here are already all over instagram and youtube.
Favourite podcast!
So encouraging! Thank you for sharing truth and Gods word.
