Infected blood scandal was ‘no accident’, says report
The Infected Blood Inquiry has finally concluded after a five-year investigation. This lunchtime, the inquiry’s chair Sir Brian Langstaff said thousands of deaths could have been prevented and the ‘worst ever’ NHS scandal, which saw thousands of Britons between 1970 and 1998 become infected by contaminated blood, could ‘largely, though not entirely, have been avoided’. Will the NHS change after change after this latest scandal?

I do like listening to the Spectator but recently I have noticed there is a constant left wing bias coming in
Essential listening, regardless of political lean.
Coffee House Shots provides valuable insight into parliamentary procedure and concise analysis of the more subtle workings of government that have helped me understand the machinations behind what has been going on politically in the last few years. This podcast, during the great Westminster debacle over Brexit that occurred last summer, summarised the situation in the most memorable quote (I think from Katy Balls), “If you can understand what’s going on, you haven’t been paying attention’. Marvellous stuff.
