Movement Magic and Medicine for the Soul!
I LOVE these podcasts! Mark has a wonderful, easy-going way of interviewing true movement luminaries who share their gems of wisdom. I was thrilled to hear Gay Hendricks tell his story and share his life-long love of movement, dance and expansion of consciousness. I look forward to listening to every one of these podcasts. They inspire me and fire me up to dive deeper into my own explorations of dance, yoga and healing. It is wonderful to know that there is an intelligent and loving support community available for all of us. Thank you Mark, and thank you dance consciousness leaders and movers everywhere! What an awesome tribe to be part of. Dance First!
Debbie Rosas - The Nia Technique
"Thank you Conscious Dancer for sharing so much goodness through your podcasts!
I loved the depth of the interview with Debbie Rosas which shared not only the gifts that the Nia Technique has to offer, but also practical creative and entrepreneurial advice for those starting out in this world of dance/movement teaching. As you said Mark, lots of people do movement training and don't realize they've actually become an entrepreneur
Debbie said something at the beginning of the interview that strongly resonated with me:
"When we stop doing it the way everybody else does it, and we give ourselves permission to find our way into anything we begin to develop what is most important to the creative process… that is having a relationship with the thing you're wanting to create... Developing a relationship (is important) so that you actually craft what you want to create…"
So, so true! When we get over our fear and listen to ourselves and our unique spirits, we can be super successful!"
I have loved Conscious dancer magazine for years and enjoy the flow of the articles. I find these podcasts have the same sense of movement. I have loved reading about the teachers of different styles like Nia, but it adds a whole new level when you get to hear the passion as they speak about what they love.
