2023 is the 4th Season of The Boomer Woman’s Podcast, formerly the Two Boomer Women Podcast. The theme for 2024 is ”That was then. This now. Create your own next chapter.”
Each episode is a conversation between me – I’m Agnes Knowles, your host – and a guest who talks to a subject that, someway, somehow, is relatable to Boomer Women. The guests can be any age, any gender, as long as their message is positive, informative, pertinent to our demographic.
You, dear listener, might need to be open-minded, curious, tolerant, inclusive… and if you are, you will enjoy these conversations, maybe learn something, and I encourage you to share each and any episode!

Build Muscle and Eat Intentionally with Kim Rahir
Kim Rahir is a former journalist with a doctorate in Political Science. Like many of us, she made a career change in mid-life to a passion career and now promotes… I love this… intentional eating for us mid-life women, as well as building AND maintaining muscle as we get older to delay, possibly even avoid many of the health issues too many people think are inevitable…
I said Passion and you’ll get the picture when I tell you Kim started weight training and last year won a European Masters Weightlifting Championship… at age 60. Are you impressed? Well, how about if I tell you that in 2013 Kim was diagnosed with MS -Multiple Sclerosis.
In this episode, Kim explains
how her diagnosis came to be
what intentional eating actually is
what muscle building looks like for women
what “retrain your brain to reconnect with your muscles” means
AND… don’t let one poor choice become a character trait!
Bonus: a definition of resilience.

Customer Reviews
An Entertaining Conversation!
Host Agnes Knowles has the most enteraining conversations about things that are relevant to me. I always enjoy listening to her show.
What great conversations
Agnes is a natural conversationalist. She asks the questions you want to ask yourself. She's fun and enthusiastic and curious. I like that the conversations are longer than the quicker podcasts formats of a quick 15! Got a long drive ahead, just play Agnes and her guests and she's got you covered with all sorts of amazing topics and people she speaks with.
Audio
The topics are interesting, but too bad more attention isn’t spent on audio quality. Even though the topic was interesting, I stopped listening because it was too frustrating when the audio was weak and flawed, it’s my deal breaker, more respect has to given to the listener.
