Roy Green’s resume is outstanding. He is a three time consecutive winner of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters national Gold Ribbon award, Canada’s most prestigious broadcast award. Listeners need not read his resume to know that Roy is a passionate advocate for the average Canadian, with an unshakable desire for justice and a deep and abiding love for his country. No wonder Roy’s show has been cited by Canada’s parliamentary newspaper as required listening for federal politicians. The Roy Green Show Podcast, Apr21: Warren Kinsella on antisemitism in Cda. - Alan Cross & a Swiftie on phenomenon of Taylor Swift. - Prof Sylvain Charlebois on 'steal from Loblaws' day of crime. - Prof Eric Kam on the fed budget roundly being booed.

    Today’s podcast:
    Antisemitism growth/expansion in Canada.
    https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/kinsella-anti-israel-protesters-becoming-more-radical-openly-embracing-terror-groups
Guest: Warren Kinsella. Was special assistant to Jean Chretien, now president/CEO of the Daisy Group, crisis management/communication @WarrenKinsella on Twitter/X. Opion columnist.

The Taylor Swift domination of pop music. New release Tortured Poets Department with more than a dozen unexpected tracks. Why Taylor Swift? Other acts who matched or came close to matching her appeal, current and/or past. And her legion of international 'Swifties' fans. Name origin and why do they wear the number 13?
Also, we get to speak with an actual Swiftie. Taylor, the aptly named sister of our show’s technical producer, gives the fan’s perspective on the draw of Taylor Swift.
Guests: Alan Cross. Host of the syndicated The Ongoing History of New Music and A Journal of Musical Things. New podcast: Uncharted crime and mayhem in the music industry.
    https://www.ajournalofmusicalthings.com/
And: Taylor, longtime Swiftie, and the sister of Roy Green Show Technical Producer, Tom.

Professor Sylvain Charlebois, @foodprofessor, posts to X/Twitter about online posters and calls to organize a "Steal from Loblaws Day" on May 12. Professor Charlebois reminds "this is not only ridiculous. It's criminal."
We will, on this program, describe this as an outageous attempt to organize a 'national day of looting.'
    Then:
What do you say about the attempt to organize a "Steal from Loblaws Day" across Canada? Do you believe you have a responsibility to intercede if any theft occurs in your presence?
Guest: Professor Sylvain Charlebois, director of the Agri Foods lab at Dalhousie University.
    https://x.com/FoodProfessor/status/1781424299405889635
    And: Callers.

Usually we might expect national reaction to a federal budget to have run its course several days following the budget's release. Not so this time as this past week's budget remains a topic of direct engagement and challenge. From doctors to Canada's business community, the federal budget is being hammered as a prime jewel of financial misfires.
Guest: Professor Eric Kam. Macroeconomics. Toronto Metropolitan University.

Balanced Show

Roy Green is a gem. His guests tend to be conservative but he bends an ear to both sides. Roy asks solid questions; the kind you’d like to ask yourself. A weekend treat. I try never to miss an episode.
