Episode 43: Kids on the Block Part 2 – Jade
Rightwing politicians and media pundits want us to fear safe supply and harm reduction. They say these interventions are putting children and families in danger, when we know the opposite is true. Toxic drug deaths continue to break records in BC. We need an immediate expansion on all harm reduction initiatives. More than anything, we need a real safe supply. Customer Reviews
Eye opening, informative, incredible journalism
I’ve started this podcast from the beginning and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to understand the effects of Canada’s drug policies, how they and the housing crisis affect the marginalized, what is needed. If you want to hear voices you never normally hear, voices you should hear, this is a great place to start.
Incredible Journalism, Best Podcast
I found this podcast in 2023, 4 years after it started, and have been listening in chronological order. It is simply fantastic, in a handful of episodes I gained so much knowledge on the policies to push for and first hand experiences of drug users, and my mindset shifted on many things. The quality of journalism is extremely high, with a perfect balance of centering the voices of drug users, while also exploring scientific research on the topic, talking with police and policymakers both in Canada and abroad. Best podcast I have ever listened to.
Brilliant
This is one of the best and most educational podcasts I’ve listened to. Garth at the helm is a standout but I know the rest of the team are also invaluable. I think every conservative politician and police officer should have to listen to this podcast and it should be required listening for high school students. I’m only on episode 12 and I’m hooked. Thank you!
