🙄🙄🙄

I have given this podcast way more chances than it is due... Mediocre true crime stories are made excruciating by the plodding pace of this podcast. Hixt is both melodramatic and vacuous in her excessive use of superlatives and repeated content warnings in each episode. Victims are often described in saccharine platitudes, as if they are more piteous because they are beautiful young women with everything going for them. Hixt’s over-enunciation is perhaps the most frustrating part about the show, as audio clips from her own reporting and her reading of contact information at the end of the episode prove that she is capable of speaking like a normal person. More grit please!

You'll be hooked

As a huge fan and follower of "Canadian True Crime" podcast hosted by Kristi Lee, i wasn't sure if I would even be able to enjoy another one similar. That was until Nancy came along with Crimebeat and now I'm hooked on both. Nancy has excellent story telling abilities and has grabs your attention from beginning to end. Thanks for all your hard work and commitment to share the stories that deserve to be told. For this I commend you. Can't wait for the next episode to come out 👍🏻
