Dale Neale: Dance for Health and Happiness Growing Older Living Younger: About longevity, wellness, healthspan,

    • Alternative Health

Today our conversation centres around the benefits of dance for enhancing healthy aging for both mind and body. I  was reflecting on the many ways in which dance has positively impacted my life, and I thought that John Travolta says it  best. “ Dancing's part of my soul. I enjoy it, it makes people happy, and it makes me happy.”
For me, dance is the best fitness activity. It is relatively low impact, the variety of styles and music constantly challenges my brain to adapt, and I leave each class, high on endorphins, after a dance workout that was both intense and fun. You can start it at any age - I began when I retired. Here to tell how dance has positively impacted his life, and how it can benefit you, is my dance teacher and friend, Dale Neale.
Dale has over 30 years of experience in dancing and enjoys teaching all levels of dance from beginner to advanced, social or competitive dancing. His goal is to bring joy into the lives of people through the gift of dance and movement. His dance philosophy involves improving the quality of your life through the joy of dance and improving yourself physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually to be the best you can be as you are never too young or too old to start dancing!
Dale began as a ballet dancer at the age of 16, and transitioned into ballroom and Latin dancing at the age of 25.  He is the founder of Dale Neale Dance and is a Head Master Instructor, Teacher, Choreographer and Coach. Dale comes from an extensive competitive dance background and has competed in International Latin, Standard and American Smooth and has won several titles including the U.S. Open Smooth Championship, numerous Rising Star Championships and he is a 4-time winner of the Canadian Smooth Championships. Dale has danced in movies, commercials, music videos, and has performed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He also spent time traveling extensively through Europe performing and teaching Salsa with American Latin All Stars.
