- Comedy
Drunk & Uncultured Podcast is a drinking problem masquerading as a pop culture podcast. We cover TV shows, music, movies, and other things we love while discussing and rating a beer of the week.

141 - It's Festival Szn
It's summer and that means festival szn. Listen in to hear us recap Coachella and the artists that were catapulted to mainstream during those two weekends. We also cover Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza (we're very excited to attend Lolla this year), and the very recent announcement of Riot Fest moving to Bridgeview (not excited about this).
-
140 - Interbrew with Katie Carrier from the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild
We're sitting down with Katie from the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild to talk all things IL beer. Listen in to hear about the events they hold, the work they do advocating for IL craft beer/breweries, their summer passport and glass, and about why Shit Fountain in Ukrainian Village has become such a huge talking point lately
-
139 - But What About Ska?
The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame just announced their list of 2024 nominations (and inductees by the time the episode is posted), so we thought it would be fun to do a deep dive into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Listen in for a history and background of the foundation that started this iconic museum, some of the exhibits, entrants over the years, snubs, and our guesses for who will make it in this year.
P.S. There is no Ska in the Hall of Fame :( -
138 - This Feels So Unnatural, Peter Gabriel Too
In honor of Ezra Koenig's birthday and the release of "Only God Was Above Us", we're finally doing a deep dive into the iconic indie band Vampire Weekend.
Listen in for an detailed discussion of their discography, iconic artsy baroque pop music style, their departure and return to chamber pop, our review of their new album, our favorite times seeing them live, and other random topics. -
137 - I Saved Latin. What Did You Ever Do?
We're celebrating 10 years of Grand Budapest Hotel by dedicating a whole episode to Wes Anderson.
Listen in for discussion on his iconic film and art style, his best movies, the upcoming short films, and more. -
136 - Hell Yeah Brother
We’re celebrating International Women’s Day with our friend Charolette (@charolettebeerme). We sit down with Charolette to talk about her career in beer, how she got into the industry, the beers she’s made, her event planning initiatives like Lager Lounge with the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild (@ilcraftbeer), and fun shirts we should make
We also got to be a part of a really cool project Charolette led in Chicago. More than 100 women in all facets of the Chicago beer industry (including your favorite beer podcast) got together to brew Vibes Since 1920. The beer pays homage to the history of women in Chicago whose unified efforts to champion equality for all, inspire change in their communities, and leave the world a better place than where they found it have paved the way for generations to come.
Charolette dreamed up this opportunity as a way for women in the beer industry to connect, learn from each other, and create a network of support. Vibes Since 1920 will be distributed by Solemn Oath’s brand Hidden Hand. $2 from every 4-pack, $1 from every pint, and a portion of wholesale sales will go to the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild’s Illinois Diversity in Brewing Scholarship. We may be biased because we helped brew this beer, but it rips. It’s an extremely drinkable classic Pale Ale, with Citra, Amarillo, and Wakatu hops. There’s a really nice tropical brightness and a malty dimension from the Briess Caramel and Vienna malt.
We’re so proud to have been part of this project, and we hope you enjoy the beer!
