Elephant Journal is everything!’

I’ve followed Elephant Journal online for years and just recently discovered this podcast(and podcasts in general).
Waylon is genuine, honest and so down to earth. He has a fresh and real approach to modern life and just a touch of Buddhist wisdom for the age.
Even like his bad jokes! 🤪

Review of podcast intro

Hello Waylon and Team.
I love Elephant Journal. I really like every aspect of the community. It’s informative, refreshing and incredibly interesting.
I would like to offer a suggestion with love and respect. Waylon, I notice you consistently refer to yourself as an “idiot”. I invite you to reconsider that description. It has a negative, pejorative connotation. Using “idiot” to describe yourself suggests a lower sense of self esteem. As we are on this path together, it also implies your community are idiots as well (some may be but that’s not my point). It makes a tiny paper cut in my psyche every time you use “idiot” to identify yourself so I’m inviting you to come up with a more positive, constructive description.
Thank you for the incredible work you do. You and your team are amazing beings.

Hello All,
I am once again writing you to say how much I enjoying the podcasts. I enjoy them not because I whole-heartedly agree with all being said, but for the opposite reason. I don’t agree with it all but it challenges me; forces me to reconsider my position on some things and reaffirms my thoughts and feelings on others.
I just finished listening to the last podcast. It opened a little place in my heart. I will listen to this one again as it’s trying to open something up but is not quite there, yet.
Thank you.

Hi Guys and Women,
Really loving these podcasts. Again, because it challenges me about some things. I have to say although I found a lot of what Dr. Orloff and Waylon spoke about quite interesting, I found the Dr.s habit of continually interrupting really made it difficult to truly hear; and as an empath quite disconcerting.

Maitri. I need more maitri. Nice one.

Actually helpful!!!

I love the podcast mostly because of how grounded it is. Waylon offers advice for the everyday person and talks in a way that makes you understand how possible it is to actually implement these changes and mindset shifts. It’s a perfect way to get your daily dose of mindfulness on a short walk or when you’re winding down for bed.
