Our guest today is provisional Psychologist Elle Morrison who will be talking to us about traumatic brain injury and mental health outcomes. For further information on the studies Elle has talked about during the show:Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) is the largest child health research institute in Australia and their research is broadly done across three areas: in the lab to investigate why disease occurs, clinical research working beside doctors and nurses to influence diagnosis and treatment, and, broad community studies to understand how disease impacts children in the wider community. The Brain and Mind team (https://www.mcri.edu.au/brainandmind) is part of the Clinical Sciences research theme group of MCRI. The research has a focus on brain injury experiences and outcomes in children and adolescents, both clinically with patients in the hospital, as well as those within the community. The projects mentioned in the BW program, Adolescent mental health outcomes post brain injury and the AMAT-C intervention study, are two examples of the current research and are both led by A-Prof Cathy Catroppa. For more information on these and other studies please visit the website on https://www.mcri.edu.au/research/projects/traumatic-brain-injury/current-studies and for further details or to get involved contact directly via the following details:Traumatic Brain Injury projectMurdoch Childrens Research InstituteThe Royal Children's Hospital, Flemington RoadParkville VIC 3052AustraliaEmail: abi.research@mcri.edu.au / cathy.catroppa@mcri.edu.au
