About the Episode:
My guest and I are tackling the topic of eating disorders and disordered eating today. Dr Lauryn Lax brings the perspective of someone who herself climbed out of a vicious cycle of eating disorders, as well as that of a trained functional medicine practitioner who helps others do the same. She talks through some proactive things parents can do in the home to prevent disordered eating, along with some of the less conventional yet effective treatment strategies to explore. She also outlines 13 early warning signs parents can look out for that might signify their child is developing disordered eating.

Guest Bio:

As a Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Clinical Nutritionist and Functional Medicine Practitioner, Dr. Lauryn’s work is inspired by over 20 years of clinical and personal experience specializing in Gut Health, Hormone Imbalances, Toxic Mold Recovery and Disordered Eating.
