Why ‘The Law of Inverse Profitability’ Is The #1 Way to Scale Your Business

In this episode of Perpetual Traffic, Ralph and Kasim discuss the importance of customer acquisition and how to make more money with less profit. They delve into the concept of lifetime value customer (LTV) and cost per acquisition (CAC), which are crucial data points for determining profitability ratios. They also touch on the law of inverse profitability, which states that businesses cannot scale if they still want a high net operating income. They provide examples from companies like Tesla and Apple to illustrate their points. Additionally, they share their own experiences with testing new theories on themselves and discuss the benefits of organic social media over paid traffic. Overall, this episode offers valuable insights for businesses looking to increase revenue and profitability.

The “Flexible Dollar” ,

Thank you!

I am a big fan of the Perpetual Traffic show, and was moved by Kasim's impassioned take on the shift from the gold standard, which really resonated with me. This episode spurred me to delve deeper into the Apple Podcasts app, determined to leave this review. That in itself deserves praise, considering my past struggles to unravel the mystery of where to post reviews on Apple Podcasts.

His insights into how the devaluation of our currency impacts everyone, not just economically but on a personal level, articulated a troubling belief better than I could put into my own words. “Time being stolen”.

The discussion highlights the invisible struggle many of us face, showcasing how even professionals in well-compensated fields are finding it increasingly difficult to maintain their standard of living. It was a stark reminder of the importance of seeking knowledge and strategies outside of conventional systems to secure our futures in this evolving economic landscape.

This wasn't just an economic discussion for me; it was about understanding the value of our time and making intentional choices about how we invest it. The episode to me describes how without change to the current economic (which is unlikely) conventional school based learning and progression into the job market are no longer effective. Different thinking is required for the next generation to avoid the trap.

Thank you, Ralph and Kasim, for providing such a potent platform for learning and reflection. Your show is both an invaluable resource and entertaining. Keep up the great work!

Best wishes,

Scott from Canada

P.S. If I am not the only one that has had an issue locating where to submit a review on apple podcast, including verbal description on where to find the review button with the CTA might increase numbers. Everyone who has a podcast asked for a review but no one actually helps find the button. Important as review button is not on the episode page you are listening on, nor on the menus on the app.
