Episode 15: Downtown Halifax Covid 19 Update 3 - Monday March 30, 2020 Downtown Lowdown with Downtown Halifax Business Commission

    • Business News

This is our third special COVID-19 episode.  We are going to start this episode with Paul MacKinnon, CEO of Downtown Halifax Business Commission. Paul is going to tell us the progress of the NS Business Labour Economic Coalition – the new official name – that was formed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. DHBC is an active member of this economic coalition. Plus, Paul will tell us about the new developments on provincial and federal relief programs.

We’ll also talk about what’s going on with businesses in Downtown Halifax since Nova Scotia has declared a State of Emergency on March 22. Other changes include HRM parking and transit during the pandemic; and we’ll finish with a list of what Downtown Halifax businesses are open and what’s open online.
