Episode 62: Julia Sheehan -- Rocket on the trail! Long distance backpacker The Kerby Method Podcast

    • Alternative Health

Ever dream of quitting your job and wandering off into the forest? Then you will love hearing Julia's story of what led her to do exactly that, and how she continues to be a full time long distance backpacker.

Julia, aka Rocket, is on the trail right now, backpacking the Continental Divide, and I was lucky enough to sit down with her a few days before she left.

Julia is a full time adventure lover and long distance backpacker. She started her journey over 2 years ago when she quit her job and sold all of her belongings and hiked the entire Appalachian trail. Before that she struggled with finding her happiness and after working as a nurse she realized that everyday is a blessing. She has since hiked over 3000 miles and has many more planned. She has struggled with her mental health since childhood and has found nothing more cathartic and healing than long distance backpacking.

If you are curious about getting started on any outdoor adventure, Julia offers plenty of encouragement, practical advice, and resources. We all walk our own path in life, and what a pleasure to spend time with someone who is so passionately walking the life that works best for her.
