Episode 81: The end Back Pocket - A Podcast by Jake and Dylan

    • Comedy

Today is not a day for mourning, for long faces, for tears. No. Today is a day to celebrate a life that ended, a light that no longer shines for all to see with their eyes, but rather one that lives on in your memories. This is the end of Back Pocket, and the beginning of something more. No longer is it bound to our physical plane by its corporeal form. Now it may spend its days in the great beyond, wherever that may be. So when you look back upon these episodes, reminiscing to a time when every Tuesday you had something to look forward to, a shimmer of hope in an otherwise dreary landscape, fret not. For it will always be with you, watching, waiting. Waiting for a time when it can creep back from amongst the shadows and take back the land that was owed to it since birth. A new world shall rise from the ashes, one where every pocket is your back pocket. Where everyday is Tuesday. But until that day, you must be strong. Not only for me, but for your mother, and the little ones. They need you now more than ever. I must leave you now, for I hear them approaching. I never did much in my life that I can be proud of, not until you came into this world. I can leave you now, knowing that you will carry on. Carry on our name, our legacy. So go forth into the world without fear, without shame, but rather with pride. For you are the child the prophecy foretold, the one to lead us back into the light and towards peace. Until that day comes, know that I love you, now and always.

Didn't know where that was going when I started writing it, not bad. Bit of a fever dream though.

Thank you to everyone who has listened to these past 80 episodes, you helped make this show what it was. Until next time, keep on keepin' on.

-Love Jake and Dylan
