Functional and Alternative Medicine are Dr. Ann-Marie Barter’s passion. After ten years of improving the health of thousands of her patients in private practice in Denver and Longmont, Colorado, Dr. Barter decided she wanted to help more people understand holistic wellness and how they too can feel their best, without pharmaceutical drugs. So she launched Fearless Health Podcast in 2019 to do just that!
Dr. Barter and her guests will help listeners understand functional blood chemistry and specialty lab testing to determine the root causes of health conditions. They’ll discuss critical health topics that fall outside the realm of “traditional” medicine, such as the risks posed to us by environmental exposures, the importance of a healthy microbiome, and hard-to-treat chronic conditions that often fail being treated satisfactorily in mainstream medicine such as chronic Lyme, complications of mold and toxin exposure, and many more.
The show hopes to expand people’s understanding of topics such as epigenetics, mood and the role of neurotransmitters, proper nutrition for gut and metabolic health and healthy lifestyle factors such as exercise and stress reduction.
In practice, Dr. Barter’s protocols rely heavily on functional nutrition and breakthrough nutraceuticals. She also utilizes herbal remedies in treatment. On her show, she’ll explain why these natural products work so well and how to make them a sustainable part of a wellness program. She wants to impart her knowledge so that more men and women can advocate for themselves and their families when deciding what route to go with their healthcare.
