Should We Visit Bridgerton or Puerto Vallarta?

Should We Visit Bridgerton or Puerto Vallarta?

What's a gay on the go supposed to do to ring in the new year during a pandemic? Why not head to Puerto Vallarta and spread a deadly disease to another country... wait... nope, how about staying in and binging some great new media like the boys of Flame ON! did?!?

It's a new year and the boys are here to discuss the newest in pop culture as we step foot into 2021 with our heads held high even after an attempted insurrection and impeachment. Before diving into the topics of the month, Bryan and the boys give their take on the second impeachment of Trump and then they dig into the circuit parties that took place in Puerto Vallarta over the New Year holiday. After the shade is lifted, they tackle Netflix's new Shondalnd show, Bridgerton, the first production from Marvel's Phase 4, Disney+'s WandaVision, HBO Max's Adult Material, and the rebooted game show, Name That Tune before giving their picks for the first 1-Ups of 2021!

    Wonder Woman 1984 Review

    Wonder Woman 1984 Review

If you had the chance to make a wish and have your deepest desire come true, would you do it? What if the cost was too high? Could you live with the regret of having the thing you wanted most at your fingertips at the expense of others? These questions and more are examined in Wonder Woman 1984 and in this episode of Flame ON!

It's a new year, but it's the same lovable cast of Flame ON! ready to tackle the Christmas miracle that Warner Bros. and DC Films gave us all in the simultaneous in (select) theater and in home release of the hotly anticipated Wonder Woman 1984! Wonder Woman 1984 sees director Patty Jenkins reunite with star Gal Gadot for a second go around as the demigod Diana Prince AKA Wonder Woman. We are taken to the bright and colorful 1980's for a film full of promise and amazement, but does the film live up to the hype of its predecessor as one of the best modern comic book films or does it suffer from Sequel Syndrome and studio interference? Find out what the boys think, and more, in this episode!

    Television Gone Too Soon

    Television Gone Too Soon

We've all been there before. Finding out that our favorite television show has gotten the axe and we'd never know how the story ended and feeling like a friend left us without warning. In this episode the boys discuss some shows that they feel were canceled before their time.

The holidays are here, dear listeners, and while this may be the season of giving, the boys of Flame ON! are here to talk to you about their favorite television series that were taken away too soon (in their opinions)! While most of you out there would agree that shows like Firefly tend to get all of the attention when it comes to this topic, the boys have come up with their picks that may be a little further outside of the box. What shows do YOU think were canceled too soon? Did your picks match any of ours? Tune in and find out!

A Rainbow Wave of Gambit Goodness

A Rainbow Wave of Gambit Goodness

It's always a risky gambit when it comes to picking the best pop culture to chat about, but the boys of Flame ON! are back to bring you their picks of things you should pay attention to during these fall months! Checkmate!

It's November, everyone and while it may have felt like 14 years have passed since March 2020, we're here to let you know that it has in fact been 84 years since March! OK, well maybe it hasn't been that long, but there has been so much going on and we're ready to share some pop culture with you. Before we dive into their favorites for this month, we discuss the election and congratulate President-Elect Biden and chat about the closure of the iconic Parliament House (along with Hamburger Mary's Chicago and the Atlanta Eagle). From there, we discuss The Queen's Gambit from Netflix (while making some really bad Gambit/Rogue/X-Men jokes), Owl House on Disney+, and the second season of The Mandalorian. We also dive into how the internet has seemingly turned on Baby Yoda in the wake of Egg-Gate! To close out the show we share our choices for what is giving us life in the 1-UPs segment!
