From Radical to Theology of the Body Feminism — with Sr. Helena Burns, FSP (Part 1) The Feminine Genius Podcast

    • Religion & Spirituality

"There's a big ultimate reality that human beings were created for and we're able to know, of all creation, we can know more. We can know God. We have a God Consciousness." In this special two part episode, I sit down with Sr. Helena Burns, FSP, a Daughter of St. Paul living and serving in the Archdiocese of Toronto. Growing up, Sr. Helena was a self-proclaimed radical feminist on track to become an ornithologist, but God had other plans for her. After experiencing God's love and presence as a teenager, she felt God calling her to become a nun. The rest, you could say, is history. In part one of our conversation, Sr. Helena shares the mission of the Daughters of St. Paul and what drew her to it, her personal faith journey, and how she went from being a radical feminist to Theology of the Body (TOB) feminist. Please stay tuned for part two of our conversation!
