Dreaded Figure 4 ,

What was that? - The follow-up

It seems that the quality of the 10/31/14 episode was, fortunately, an aberration. The last two podcasts have been back up to the standards that one would expect from CBC. That’s a relief, for I do like the podcast in general, but had the quality continued at such a low standard, I would have been forced to go elsewhere. Thank you, Eli and the CBC production staff, for correcting the problem.

Tepid at best.

Great way to listen the plot summary of a movie if you don’t have time to watch the trailer.

Over the years, Eli has never steered me wrong, regarding what to see or what to avoid. His reviews are thoughtful and I enjoy his conversational manner — it never feels like he is reading from a script.

I especially appreciate how he sometimes adds those hidden gems that are worth seeking out, if you are fortunate to live near a cinema that plays one.

My now teenaged children are regular listeners of this podcast, too. I have overheard them telling their friends, “... our family’s film reviewer guy said that this movie is ...”, as if Eli is our personal film reviewer. (Ha!)
